The Allentown Y’s Sports Leagues are co-ed and focus on learning the fundamental basics of
each sport along with character values in a non-competitive atmosphere. Players develop
sportsmanship and the Y’s core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.

Volunteer Coaches Needed
Volunteers are a vital part of our programs. The Y is looking for enthusiastic and
responsible volunteers willing to donate a couple hours a week to coach a Youth Sports
team. Coaching Clinics are offered for each sport. Contact Mike Macharsky for details.

SPRING II Session
Our sport clinics emphasize skill development, rules, teamwork, sportsmanship
and learning the Y’s values. Players will learn basic fundamentals and fitness
associated with each sport.

Two great activities in one exciting class! Your child will learn to swim with our
experienced aquatic instructors then play games that help improve coordination and
motor skills.

| Youth Karate |

Kenpo Karate will teach children discipline, coordination, concentration, confidence, and
self-control. The instructor, Sensei Gerson Ortiz is a 4th Degree Black Belt in Kenpo
Karate with over 15 years experience.
