Gymnastics and Dance
Sparklers Pre-Team (ages 6-13) - This program is for girls Level 2-5 who are currently working on gymnastic skills and want to be on the competitive team. Gymnasts will learn form and skills needed to compete on the team level. Girls will also be taught the rules of competitive gymnastics as well as routines and will perform in a mock meet at the end of the 14-week session. Sparklers Competitive Team (ages 6-18) Join our State Champions and nationally qualified gymnasts on the Sparklers Team! Gymnasts compete in the YMCA Eastern Pennsylvania Girls Gymnastic League. Girls who qualify for YMCA Nationals will practice until July. Participants must try-out to be placed on a team.
USA Gymnastic Level Classess (ages 7-12) Progressive gymnastic skills will be taught on vault, bars, beam and floor exercise from the USA Junior Olympic Level program. Participants will improve strength, flexibility and locomotor skills in a safe, positive environmnet while having fun. New students who want to register for the Levels 3-5 must be tested. Open Gymnastic Practice - Need to work on perfecting a specific skill or just can't get enough gymnastics in weekly classes? All equipment is available for use and is superevised by a team coach. Proof of payment must be shown to coach before children may participate.
Private Gymnastic Lessons - Need to conquer a skill or like the privacy of a one-on-one lesson? Private lessons are available by appointment only. Take as many as you wish!! Kinder Gymnastics (ages 5 & 6) - A gymnastic class especially designed to promote skill learning in a fun, safe and positive environment. USA gymnastic skill Levels 1-4 will be taught on vault, bars, beam and floor exercise.
Youth Dance (ages 7-12) - This 14-week class is for older dancers who need to get out from in front of their mirrors and perform for everyone to see. A skilled teacher will teach beginning to advanced ballet and jazz. At the end of the session, parents, family and friends will be invited to a recital with a class party to follow.

Sports
Super Sports (ages 7-12 coed) - Join us for this multi-sport class which instructs youth in proper techniques and skills in basketball, soccer, volleyball, floor hockey and other gym sports. Kickaroo II (ages 6-8 coed) - Here's your chance to take what you learned in Kickaroo Soccer and add to it. In this class, children will learn more advanced, age appropriate skills and encounter game-like situations.
Karate (ages 8-12 coed) - Join Gerson Ortiz for the karate class at the Allentown YMCA & YWCA. Kenpo Karate will teach you discipline, coordination, concentration, confidence, self-control and it is also a great cardiovascular workout. Sensei Gerson Ortiz is a 3rd degree black belt in Kenpo Karate and a 2nd degree black belt in Okinawa Goyu Ryu Karate. Overall he has more than 15 years of Karate Experience. Basketball League (ages 4-12 ) - Children learn the fundamental skills of basketball as well as teamwork and Character Development Values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Players are divided into 3 groups: Rookies-ages 4-6, Minors-ages 7-9, and Majors-ages 10-12. During this 7-week league, participants are instructed by parent volunteer coaches and learn skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, offensive and defensive skills through practice and games. All children receive a trophy, T-shirt and team pizza party.
T-Ball League (ages 4-7) Fall and Spring - Children learn the fundamental skills of baseball and have fun doing it. Participants will be instructed by parent volunteer coaches and learn base running, hitting, catching and throwing as well as developing the core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Participants must bring their own glove. Players will receive a t-shirt and hat, as well as a trophy and pizza party at the end of season award ceremony. Soccer League (ages 4-15) Fall and Spring - Our soccer program is designed to teach the fundamental skills of soccer through games and practice while learing the value of teamwork. Using the Character Development values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, children will learn skills such as dribbling, kicking, passing, shooting, and defense from parent volunteer coaches. Players will receive a t-shirt and hat, as well as a trophy and pizza party at the end of season award ceremony.
