Dear Friends of the Allentown Y:

Many need a glimpse of “Hope” these days. Life is particularly tough – coupled with uncertainty of what is to come. Attention to your health is especially important at this time to navigate stress, anxiety, and worry as well as extra work hours or no work hours. None of us need the added burden of illness or chronic disease from failure to take care of ourselves. Parents must be healthy for their children, employees must be healthy for their businesses, teachers must be healthy for their students, the unemployed must be healthy to seek and secure work, and we all must be healthy to fulfill the responsibilities to which we are entrusted. Children need to be on a lifelong journey of wellness to become contributors to society as adults and to enjoy their lives along the way.

The Allentown Y gives “Hope through Health” with over 100 programs in the areas of health and wellness. Aquatics, exercise, sports, clinics, dance, karate, leagues, and fitness are just a few avenues to try. Seminars and discussion groups provide education for wellness as well as support groups for recovery. If you are toying with the idea of becoming healthier, come try the Y for a FREE DAY PASS. We can help you find the program you might enjoy. If you were a member and became unable to afford the Y, come see our Membership Coordinator, Kerri Finkle, to help you gain access back to membership and wellness. We don’t want the inability to pay for membership or a program to be a barrier to health. Donors give to the Y to provide financial assistance to those unable to afford the Y- families, children, seniors and individuals alike. Let us give you the “Hope for Health” you deserve.
