General Information

We have been busy planning your child's camping experience all year long.  We have many unique and exciting choices to keep your children busy and active for the entire summer with a different experience each and every week.Your kids will have so much fun it will make boredom a thing of the past.

Our Staff

Our Staff- The camp counselors in our program are screened for criminal records and child abuse clearances. They are certified in American Red Cross CPR and first aid, and also complete a 30-hour pre-camp training.

Registration Information

  • Registration must be made at the Allentown YMCA & YWCA
  • A $35.00 non-refundable deposit is required for each child and camping week upon registration.
  • A $125.00 non-refundable deposit per week, per child is due upon registration for Aquatic Adventures, Outdoor Explorers, Extreme Sports and Thrills and Spills and Mix and Match.
  • Upon registration, parents will receive our Day Camp Parent's Handbook. 
  • The forms inside this handbook must be completed before the first camp week.
  • All balances are due one week before each camping week.
  • All deposits are applied to balances.

Young Adventurers - Ages 3-5

Day Camp Discovery

Day Camp Exploration - Ages 5 - 13

Children in this state-licensed camp will have fun throughout the summer with special theme events and recreation and activities. The camp day runs from 9:00am-4:00pm.  Extended care is available from 6:30am-6:00pm.  Our Summer Child Care Camp accepts all types of funding.  Your camper will enjoy the following activities:

Leadership Camps

L.I.T - Leaders in Training -Age 14

 

This camp is designed to build leadership skills in young teens. Teens will work on team building, problem solving, communication skills and becoming a mentor to younger children. Campers will also have fun swimming, playing recreational games, sports and providing and leading an activity for camp each week.

 

 

 

C.I.T. - Counselors in Training- Ages 15 and 16

 

Our Counselor in Training program is designed for teens who would like to become a camp counselor when they turn 17. C.I.T.'s spend the day assisting Head Counselors with activities. C.I.T.'s also meet as a group to develop leadership, communication, behavior management and mentoring skills. C.I.T,'s will also participate in recreational activities including swimming.

 
 
Adventure Camps

Aquatic Adventures - Ages 8 - 13

 

Campers learn and enhance water skills and safety. Activities may include field trips to Aquariums, water parks and boating facilities. Campers need moderate to strong swimming skills.

 

 

Outdoor Explorers -Ages 8 to 13

 

This fun-filled week may include: rock climbing, rafting, hiking and rope course

Thrills and Spills -Ages 10 to 13

 

Enjoy five days of amusement park fun! Parks may include: Dorney Park, Camel Beach, and Knoebel's Park. Children must be at least 45" to participate and enjoy rides.

Extreme Sports-Ages 10 to 13

 

Action packed 5 days may include: cart racing, rock climbing, skate parks, boating and kayaking.

 

Mix and Match-Ages 10 to 13

Enjoy all of our Adventure Camp trips in one exciting week. Trips may include: rafting, amusement parks, and cart racing.
