General Information

We have been busy planning your child's camping experience all year long.  We have many unique and exciting choices to keep your children busy and active for the entire summer with a different experience each and every week.Your kids will have so much fun it will make boredom a thing of the past.

Our Staff

Our Staff- The camp counselors in our program are screened for criminal records and child abuse clearances. They are certified in American Red Cross CPR and first aid, and also complete a 30-hour pre-camp training. An American Red Cross lifeguard supervises all aquatic activities.

Registration Information

  • Registration will continue to take registration until camps meet camper limits.
  • A $35.00 non-refundable deposit is required for each child and camping week upon registration.
  • A $125.00 non-refundable deposit per week, per child is due upon registration for Aquatic Adventures, Outdoor Explorers, Extreme Sports and Thrills and Spills. 
  • Upon registration, parents will receive our Day Camp Parent's Handbook. 
  • The forms inside this handbook must be completed before the first camp week.
  • All balances are due one week before each camping week.
  • All deposits are applied to balances.

Young Adventurers -Ages 3-5

Located at the Allentown YMCA & YWCA

Young Adventurers is a state licensed camp designed to give preschool children their first camping experience.  Each session has a special theme and all activities are created around that theme.  A nutritious snack is provided for your child.  Choose from either a half or full day camping option.  Your young camper will enjoy the following activities:
Swimming   Introduction to sports
Arts & Crafts Circle Time
Stories Gym Games
Nature Creative Movement
Music Special Guests

Day Camp Discovery - Ages 6-13

Located at Neffs Valley Park

Join us for our 4th Summer at the Neffs Valley Park.  Our wooded campsite is located in Neffs, PA .  This private location has a million gallon pool onsite. Our extra large canvas tent provides additional shelter from the sun. Busing is available from several locations, including Air Products.  Both AM and PM extended care is available.  Campers are divided into age appropriate groups and will enjoy the following activities:
Swimming and lessons Arts & Crafts
Sports Environmental Science
Recreational Games Field Trips
Nature Activities Music and Drama
Hiking Theme Weeks

Day Camp Exploration - Ages 6-13

Located at the Allentown YMCA & YWCA

Children in this state-licensed camp will have fun throughout the summer with special theme events and surprise guests. The camp day runs from 9:00am-4:00pm.  Extended care is available from 6:30am-6:00pm.  Our Summer Child Care Camp accepts all types of funding.  Your camper will enjoy the following activities:

Leadership Camps

L.I.T - Leaders in Training -Age 14

Located at Neffs Valley Park

This camp is designed to build leadership skills in young teens. Teens will work on team building, problem solving, communication skills and becoming a mentor to younger children. Campers will also have fun swimming, playing recreational games, sports and providing and leading an activity for camp each week.

C.I.T. - Counselors in Training- Ages 15 and 16

Located at Neffs Valley Park

Our Counselor in Training program is designed for teens who would like to become a camp counselor when they turn 17. C.I.T.'s spend the day assisting Head Counselors with activities. C.I.T.'s also meet as a group to develop leadership, communication, behavior management and mentoring skills. C.I.T,'s will also participate in recreational activities including swimming.

Adventure Camps

Aquatic Adventures -Ages 9 to 15

Located at the Allentown YMCA & YWCA

Campers learn and enhance water skills and safety. Activities include Jr. Lifeguard Course, snorkeling at Mauch Chunk Beach, boating water and beach games and tubing at River Country and a day at Camel Beach Waterpark! Campers need moderate to strong swimming skills.

Outdoor Explorers -Ages 9 to 15

Located at the Allentown YMCA & YWCA

This fun-filled week includes: rock climbing, bike and boat trip, float trip with Pocono Whitewater, miniature golf, and hike to Bear Rock on the Appalachian Trail.

Thrills and Spills -Ages 9 to 15

Located at the Allentown YMCA & YWCA

Enjoy five days of amusement park fun! Parks include: Dorney Park, Hershey Park, Camel Beach, and Knoebel's Park. Children must be at least 45" to participate and enjoy rides.
