Youth Aquatics - Ages 6-12
This national YMCA program is a comprehensive, progressive swim program. Each level includes personal safety, stroke development and games. Classes are 30 minutes or 45 minutes in length and meet once a week. Like all YMCA & YWCA programs, emphasis is placed on personal achievement and development of the character traits of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.

Polliwog A (Beginner) - Children in this level cannot swim or can swim very short distances (under 5 ft) and will learn basic swimming techniques. Polliwog B (Intermediate) - Polliwog B swimmers are comfortable in the water and with instruction. Children in this level can swim 10 ft. using freestyle mechanics before enrolling in this level.
Guppy - Swimmers concentrate on proper freestyle breathing techniques and increase endurance levels in the pool. Children must be able to swim half the length of the pool to enroll. Minnow - Swimmers increase endurance levels, concentrate on perfecting freestyle and backstroke and work on diving and survival skills.
Fish - Swimmers work on freestyle and backstroke but concentrate on learning breaststroke techniques. After completion of this level, swimmers may continue with progressive lessons or enroll in Rookie League or Swim Team. Flying Fish - Swimmers in this level learn to tread water for four minutes and concentrate on butterfly stroke.
Shark/Porpoise - Swimmers improve stroke techniques in all four strokes and will learn flip turns and competitive starts.

Adult Aquatics - ages 13 and up
Ultra Aqua Workout - ages 13 and up - This 40-minute combination workout includes aerobics and circuit training. It will get your heart pumping while you're toning your muscles. Aqua Aerobics - ages 13 and up - Join us in the pool with our motivated and experienced instructors for this heart pumping, high calorie burning class. This class promotes cardiovascular fitness and improves muscle tone.
Adult Lap - ages 16 and up - All five lanes are available for lap swimming. Lanes range from very slow to fast. See the pool schedule for days and times.
Y-Divers - ages 15 and up - This club is designed for the serious SCUBA enthusiast. The club meets the second and fourth Monday of the month.
Water Pilates - ages 13 and up - Our trained instructors will give you a "core" workout with the new fitness craze adapted for the water.
Adult Rec - ages 18 and up - Join us for lap swimming, water exercise or just relaxing. See the pool schedule for days and times.
Adult Swim Lessons - ages 15 and up - Instruction for the adult who is ready to conquer his/her fear of the water or just needs some technique refinement. We will work at the individual's level. All levels are welcome.
SCUBA - ages 13 and up - Explore the underwater world by earning your basic certification with PADI. In this course you will learn all basic SCUBA skills and SCUBA safety. Course includes use of all major equipment during class sessions, books, and air fill. Students must purchase fins, a mask and snorkel.
